We may get more talk submissions that we have slots for. In such cases, we may have to decline some requests to speak. As such, you should be aware that your submission here does not guarantee you a slot. We plan to let you know whether you have been confirmed or declined within a week of us closing our call for speakers on the 31st August. As such, you will know if your application has been successful by the 7th September. If successful: Your talk should last a maximum of ten minutes. There will be a timer running and the hosting team will stop proceedings if you run over in order to ensure the smooth running of the event. We strongly recommend that you rehearse and time your talk several times before the day of the event in order to avoid being cut off. The deadline for submitting your final presentation deck to us will be Monday 10th of September. Your slides should be in PowerPoint format with 16:9 ratio. We would prefer if you didn't have any audio/video content in your slides. If you think you absolutely require this please add some comments to let us know so that we can discuss and make special arrangements. Details about the method of delivery and creating slides that are as accessible as possible will be given to speakers when the schedule has been finalised. We plan to do a live broadcast of all the SkeptiCamp talks. Your submission of this form constitutes an agreement for us to do so. The statement we have about online safety here https://sitp.online/online-safety/ also applies to the environment we would like to create face-to-face at SkeptiCamp. As a speaker, we expect that the content of your talk will stay within these boundaries. I agree to all of the aboveYes!No (why would you choose this though? It means you can't speak at SkeptiCamp!)
